Ziren Lei

Ziren Lei attended China's Central Academy of Fine Arts, receiving a Ph.D in 2007 in Chinese painting.  His paintings, sparse in their use of lines, create detail with the fewest marks possible.  Lei's ink and wash technique reflects the traditional subject matter of his work and amplifies the contemporary context of the setting in which they are displayed.
